Set on 2.5 hectares of garden and farmland, Timboon House was built as a coaching inn in 1855 and continues the tradition by providing accommodation to guests wishing to explore the area around Camperdown and the Great Ocean Road.

The property formed part of the original Camperdown township known then as Lake Timboon Settlement. It is regarded as the earliest documented bluestone building in the Western Region of Victoria and is listed by Heritage Victoria as being “historically, architecturally and archaeologically important”.

The two storey Colonial Georgian structure retains most of its original features. There are also heritage listed trees, stables and archaeologically preserved land. A perfect setting for that weekend getaway or overnight stay. Located just 2 kilometres from Camperdown, Timboon House is your ideal base for exploring this rich and diverse region of Australia, or simply relaxing and enjoying the ambience of this beautifully appointed bed and breakfast.

Three large bedrooms with private bathrooms and antique furniture are available along with a guest lounge room and open fire where afternoon tea is served upon your arrival. Weather permitting, you can take afternoon tea on the verandah. A full breakfast is served in the gracious dining room. We also provide complimentary port and supper.

The Stables, which are also heritage listed, provide self-contained accommodation for up to four people. There is one double bedroom and another with two single beds. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room, beautifully appointed bathroom with claw foot bath and separate shower. Furnishings are antique and country style. The sitting room has television, DVD, radio and CD player. Radiant heaters are in each room. There is decking overlooking farmland and gardens with views to Camperdown and the surrounding volcanic mountains. A sheltered barbeque area is also available for guests use.

Denise and John pride themselves on the quality of the accommodation and by making your stay as memorable as possible while you enjoy all there is to see and do in Camperdown and the Great Ocean Road region!
