Located in the lush Gippsland countryside, the bed and
breakfast accommodation at Springbank offers you the choice of staying in the charming old world home built
around 1892, or in the converted "Dairy Room"
that formed part of the original dairy complex. The magnificent gardens
and gentle vistas set on twenty acres of lush beef and dairy land combine
to bring you a relaxing and refreshing experience.
Guests in the main house have a choice of two bedrooms. The Batema
Suite has its own lounge room overlooking the front garden
and a delightful bedroom with ensuite that are both fully airconditioned.
The Evison Room has a queen-size bedroom, separate
study, large bathroom with a claw bath - all fully airconditioned. The
formal dining room with an open fire is available for romantic candle
lit dinners. Picnic hampers, filled with a host of local produce can also
be arranged. Morning papers, full cooked breakfast are included plus complimentary
chocolates and port before retiring.
The original "Dairy Room" that formed part of the dairy complex
has been converted to cottage accommodation. It is complete with ensuite
facilities, kitchenette, cosy wood heater, reverse-cycle airconditioning,
mini bar, TV, CD, BBQ facilities - not forgetting a comfortable queen
size bed. A far cry from from those early beginnings!
A continental breakfast is served in the cottage, consisting of an array
of fruit, juices, cereals, muffins or croissants plus home made jams and
fresh plunger coffee. For a modest fee, cottage guests can join the guests
in the main house to a fully cooked breakfast with the tempting choice
of cereals, fruit, smoked bacon, eggs, mushrooms, selected sausages plus
seasonal delights with freshly brewed tea or coffee.
Plan to experience
a day or so to revitalize in the cosy accommodation provided
by Kaye & Chris at Springbank Bed & Breakfast. It is a comfortable 90-minute drive to Gippsland from
Melbourne and we are just 10 minutes from Warragul, right in the heart
of the 'Gippsland Gourmet Country' which is renowned for the wonderful
fresh produce such as cheese, vegetables and smoked meats to be found
within its borders!
