The accommodation at Fountain Terrace in St Kilda is the perfect place for an indulgent Melbourne city getaway or for corporate clients who want an alternative to accommodation offered by the big hotels.

Built in 1880 as a gentleman's residence, this grand old freestanding Victorian terrace, has, like many of the large old properties in St Kilda, had a somewhat colourful and bawdy past. Restored to her former glory, Fountain Terrace offers the warmth and friendliness of a bed and breakfast and the elegance and style of a boutique hotel.

The guest rooms are named in honour of well known Australians from that era. Individually designer-decorated rooms with large sash windows give our guests plenty of natural light. During mild summer weather, bay breezes waft in through the billowing sheers. The building is solid and quiet. Having stood on the corner of Mary and Loch streets for many years in a dishevelled state, the property underwent a Cinderella-like transformation in 2000/2001, opening its doors and welcoming guests to the ambience of Fountain Terrace.

We are located in a quiet tree lined avenue just a few minutes walk to the beach, Albert Park Lake and the Grand Prix circuit, a multitude of restaurants and public transport. A perfect combination of beach and city in delightful bed and breakfast accommodation in exciting and vibrant St Kilda, just a short distance fro m Melbourne!
