Set in a rambling garden on a country property at Birregurra on the Barwon River, between Lorne and Colac in the Great Ocean Road region, the accommodation in the National Trust classified property, Elliminook (c1865) has been beautifully decorated and furnished to provide modern-day standards of comfort and convenience while retaining the gracious charm and ambience of a bygone era.

Elliminook has five bedrooms:
The Bromfield Room – a comfortable bed-sitter with original features, antique queen-sized bed, couch, open fire, t.v., fridge, ceiling fan, coffee-making facilities and ensuite bathroom.
The Edmundson Room – an attractive baltic pine lined room with Queen Bed and ensuite bathroom , ceiling fan, heater, TV DVD player, mini bar fridge and electric jug. Also available with adjoining lounge /dining area and kitchenette. (minimum 2 night stay).
The Hope Room – a romantic bedroom with antique queen-sized four-poster bed, couch, t.v., ceiling fan, coffee-making facilities and ensuite bathroom.
The Hayes Room – an attractive cosy room with double bed, t.v., ceiling fan and ensuite bathroom.
Gilpin Room – an attractive baltic pine lined room with queen bed and ensuite bathroom, ceiling fan, air conditioner, TV, DVD player,mini bar fridge and electric jug .

All rooms except Edmundson and Hayes are air conditioned.

Your hosts, Jill and Peter Falkiner, serve a sumptuous cooked breakfast in the dining room at the time you request. You can relax on the wide front verandah, in the rose-filled courtyard or in the guest sitting room with complimentary refreshments, TV, open fire, old prints and paintings.

Elliminook, being licenced to sell liquor, stocks a range of wine, beer and spirits for your enjoyment. Elliminook is a base from which you can play golf or explore the peaks, forests and waterfalls of the beautiful Otway Ranges.

Along the Great Ocean Road coast, experience the awesome beauty of the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge, try a freshly-caught rock lobster from the Apollo Bay Fishermans’ Co-op., or sample the shops, sights and surf at Lorne.
