Rutherglen was established in the 1850’s by German winemakers from the Barossa Valley & many of those first vineyards are still in operation today. It is this powerful sense of history, coupled with a contemporary approach to food and wine that attracts visitors year-round.

Located in the heart of Rutherglen, Carlyle House has been restored to its original grandeur offering accommodation of a very high standard. The main residence, dating back to the 1890s, features 12ft ceilings, polished boards, marble fireplaces, handcrafted furniture and many more period features.
